Child and Babysitting Safety - Grades 4-8Youth EnrichmentThe Child and Babysitting Safety (CABS) program from the American Safety and Health Institute provides everything you need to know for safe and successful babysitting. The students will receive their certification card and instructions to access a digital copy of the CABS student book at the end of class. Topics cover everything from getting started with your business to collaborating with parents and children, safety, safe sleep practices, caregiving, emergencies, and basic first aid. CABS will help set you up for babysitting success. Students must be present for the entire class and complete the core learning objectives to receive certifications, valid for two years. Students attend this class independently and should come prepared with a notebook and pen.Fall 2026 -

Learn how to play this increasingly popular game; create an interesting character and join your adventuring party as you explore dungeons, defeat dragons and make friends on the way to high adventure. Easy CPR for Babysitters and Teens - Ages 11 and OlderYouth EnrichmentBreathing or not breathing - This is all you need to know to determine how to care for your unconscious victim. This CPR class is very easy to learn and to remember. You will learn how to care for an unresponsive person and will be certified for 2 years in Basic Adult/Child/Infant CPR and AED. You will have unlimited practice opportunities during your certification period and unlimited digital access to the workbook materials. You will be taught how to help a choking victim, how to recognize if there is a problem and gain confidence in your skills. This class does not have a written test.Fall 2026 -
Esports Ages 13 - Grade 12Youth EnrichmentRegistration is now open for students 13 and older to be part of the North Branch Area Esports team for the 2026-27 Season! Esports, short for electronic sports, are organized, competitive video gaming events where players, either individually or in teams, participate in virtual games for prestige, prizes, or simply for the thrill of competition. Participating in an esports team promotes social development, academic improvement, and cognitive skills. It fosters inclusivity, offers scholarship opportunities, opens career paths in the growing esports industry, and encourages responsible digital citizenship. Integrating esports into schools can enhance personal growth, academic success, and community engagement for students. Deadline to register November 13th, 2026. Esports Information Meeting - Tuesday, November 10th - 3pm - HS Media Center Pre-season starts December 7th. Regular Season Starts January 4th. Practice/Season event times tentatively planned for weekday Monday-Friday evenings 4-6PM. Home Alone - Ages 8 & olderYouth EnrichmentJust mention the words "Home Alone," and children think of the excitement depicted in the movies of the same name. The reality is being home alone can evoke fear and anxiety in many children. Whether left alone for an hour after school or several hours a day during the summer, children should feel comfortable being alone. This workshop for children will address several topics relating to being "Home Alone" including personal safety tips, tricky people, basic first aid, fire safety, handling the unexpected, internet safety, gun safety, dealing with loneliness and boredom, storm safety, dealing with siblings as well as trust and honesty. Students attend this class independently. Parents are encouraged to review the take-home information and discuss it with their child.Fall 2026 -
