Learn the Sport of BMX Bike Racing - Ages 3 and OlderRecreationExperience BMX at Rum River BMX, the #1 BMX track in the United States! This introductory clinic is designed for first-time riders of all ages who have never held a USA BMX membership and want to explore BMX racing. Our expert coaches teach the fundamentals of BMX, bike handling, track safety, and riding techniques in a safe, supportive, small-group environment. BMX race bikes and full-face helmets are provided. Riders of all ages are welcome but must already be able to ride a pedal bike independently (no training wheels or assistance). Riders must wear long sleeves, full-length pants, and closed-toe, closed-heel shoes. Extra jerseys are available to borrow if needed. Check-in is 5:30-5:55 p.m. to complete required waivers and be fitted for a bike and helmet. Families may request electronic forms in advance by emailing rissa@rumriverbmx.com. Little Stompers Beginner Clogging Class Ages 3-8RecreationClogging is a traditional American dance form, with similarities to tap and Irish dancing. This is a beginner dance class for ages 3-8 taught by a National Certified Clogging Instructor! Along with many fun clogging steps & routines, your dancer will work on basic rhythm, flexibility, balance and how to be a great dance student. Students can wear comfortable clothes & shoes that slide easily. Optional glue-on clogging taps can be purchased from the instructor for $20. Bring a pair of flat-soled shoes for the taps to be attached to (white shoes preferred for possible future performance opportunities). No experience needed. Open Gym for NBAPS Students Grades K-12RecreationNorth Branch Area Public School students come and enjoy a morning at our open gym, $2 per person per day. Open Gym Dates: November 7, 14, December 5, 12, 19 January 2, 9, 16, 23, 30, February 6, 13, March 6, 13Dates are subject to change based on gym availability. Students in grades K-5 must have a parent accompany them during open gym. Parents play dodgeball and enjoy open gym with your child(ren). Snowboard and Ski Club 5 Trip PackageRecreationFees & Equipment Fees include lift ticket, busing, and chaperone. There is an additional weekly fee for ski or snowboard rentals.$183 price includes: 5 ski package. Deadline to register for package is January 4.Students with Wild Mountain Ski Pass pay only $90Single day option: $47. Rental additional fee of $28 payable to Community Ed before day of trip.Equipment must be brought to school and stored in the assigned room. Equipment cannot go on the school bus to and from school. If you own your own snowboard/skis use the Wild Mountain “Ski Corral” to prevent theft. North Branch Area Community Ed and Wild Mountain are not responsible for stolen items Helmets encouraged. Ski Club will be canceled when the weather is dangerously cold or poor driving conditions exist. We do not make up days we miss. Inappropriate conduct will result in removal from program. One time users must have registration form and payment into the Community Education office the Thursday prior to ski date.Fall 2026 -
Viking Volleyball Girls - Grades 3-6RecreationCommunity Education is excited to offer a volleyball program for 3rd through 6th grade girls. The skills season will last five weeks. Athletes will get an introduction to all the fundamentals of volleyball including: passing, serving, setting and attacking. Coaches are dedicated to the development of student athletes in the elements of competition, dedication, sportsmanship and teamwork. Beginners and experienced players are encouraged to participate. There will be something to learn at all levels. All parents should plan to attend the first night for an information segment. Registration fee includes a t-shirt and one free ticket to a home varsity game that is to be determined with a paying adult ticket. Game to be determined.Fall 2026 -
Youth Pickleball Lessons - Grades 6-12RecreationJoin Peiwu for twice weekly youth pickleball training for grades 6-12. Learn to dink, serve, backhand stroke, volley and basic rules of the game. At the end of each group training session, a round robin tournament will be held. Paddles and balls are provided for training. The sport of pickleball is easy to learn and fun to play and enjoy while making new friends.No lessons December 23, 28, 30 and February 15.Fall 2026
