By attending this class, you'll learn the skills and confidence to use that AED - and potentially save a life if an emergency ever occurs.Join Teddy's Heart Foundation and the Stacy-Lent Fire Department for this FREE community education class focused on emergency life-saving skills. Participants will learn how to recognize a cardiac emergency, perform hands-only CPR, and confidently use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).The interactive class includes hands-on practice using CPR mannequins and training AEDs, giving you the opportunity to build confidence in responding during a real emergency. Pediatric First Aid & CPR/AED Adult/Child/Infant - Hybrid Skills CheckCPR/First AidBlended learning is the same program & certification as the classroom course but with the added benefit of watching the videos on your own and at your own pace. This is the "skills" portion of the blended learning. You will meet with the instructor in a group setting and perform the "hands on" training portion of the program. *The online portion must be completed before class and students will bring the completed certificate with them to class. A valid email is needed at registration. The videos work best on a laptop or tablet. (If you are unable to complete the online portion, you will be asked to attend the next skills test.)This class is similar to the Adult/Child/Infant CPR/AED Class and First Aid with the main focus being on children. The class includes a 2 year certification and unlimited digital access to the student workbook from American Safety and Health Institute. The full Pediatric CPR/AED & First Aid course will include; an online link to all of the program videos, as well as an experienced instructor, dedicated to make the class fun and interesting. Pickleball Fun TournamentFitness & RecreationNorth Branch Area Community Education along with the North Branch Beautification Association is hosting a Pickleball Tournament. Proceeds will be going towards the Veterans Memorial. The North Branch Beautification Association Veterans Memorial Committee is working with the North Branch American Legion, North Branch VFW, and the City of North Branch to construct and maintain a regional Veterans Memorial designated the Circle of Honor, to honor all veterans that served honorably in service to our nation. Register by Skill Level3.4 and below - Beginner to Intermediate - 7:30am-12noon - max 32 players3.5 and above - Intermediate to Advance - 12:30-6:00pm - max 32 playersRegister as individuals only. Teams determined from round robin play. Registration fee $30 per personDeadline to register February 16. No refunds after deadline February 16.Registration is limited. So register early! Tournament Format For Each Session: First Two Hours: Round robin doubles play for all players. At end split into two groups of 12-16 players based on player pickleball strength.
