Boys Basketball CampSport CampsThe Vikings Youth Boys Basketball Camp is available to boys who have completed grades K-7. The Youth Camp will focus on building the basic fundamentals in a fun environment. Our main focus points will be shooting, passing, and ball handling. Campers will participate in games and contests. The camp goal is that all of the campers leave with a love for basketball and some tools you can use after camp is over to help better your skills. Little Stompers Beginner Clogging Class Ages 3-8RecreationClogging is a traditional American dance form, with similarities to tap and Irish dancing. This is a beginner dance class for ages 3-8 taught by a National Certified Clogging Instructor! Along with many fun clogging steps & routines, your dancer will work on basic rhythm, flexibility, balance and how to be a great dance student. Students can wear comfortable clothes & shoes that slide easily. Optional glue-on clogging taps can be purchased from the instructor for $20. Bring a pair of flat-soled shoes for the taps to be attached to (white shoes preferred for possible future performance opportunities). No experience needed. August 5-9 Cost $64Depart Education Center 12:15pmLessons 1-2pmReturn to Education Center 2:45pm Students should bring a towel and come dressed to swim. We will provide a chaperone for the bus ride, and this person will be at the pool. Parents, please register your child for the best-fitted swimming level. The pool will evaluate the students on the first day and may move them to the class that best matches their skill level. Each level of lessons includes training in basic water safety and helping a swimmer in distress. In addition to the skills outlined below. Level 1: Water Exploration - This class is designed to help first-time swimmers become comfortable in the water. Students will learn skills in water entry/exit, breath control, floating and alternating arm action. Level 2: Primary Skills - Students will learn fundamental skills of propelling themselves in the water. Level 3: Stroke Readiness - Skills covered include coordinated front crawl, elementary back stroke and treading water. Safe diving skills will be introduced. Level 4: Stroke Development - Students will develop endurance and coordination of crawl and elementary back stroke, introduction to breast stroke and turns.
