Boys Basketball CampSport CampsThe Vikings Youth Boys Basketball Camp is available to boys who have completed grades K-7. The Youth Camp will focus on building the basic fundamentals in a fun environment. Our main focus points will be shooting, passing, and ball handling. Campers will participate in games and contests. The camp goal is that all of the campers leave with a love for basketball and some tools you can use after camp is over to help better your skills. Camp will be instructed by the Varsity Coaches, Youth Coaches, High School players andvolunteers. All campers will receive a t-shirt this year, so please include shirt size. Boys Summer Basketball Camp Grades Completed 6-11Sport CampsBasketball players completed grades 6-11 have an opportunity to develop skills and work on fundamentals on a flexible schedule. Come in the morning, evening or both, as we start our preparation for next session. Players will have the opportunity to train for some off-season tournaments and leagues or continue to develop their skills as we look ahead to the next season. Child and Babysitting Safety Ages 11 & olderYouth EnrichmentThe Child and Babysitting Safety (CABS) program offers comprehensive training to ensure safe and successful babysitting. It covers everything from starting a babysitting business to essential safety, caregiving, and first aid practices. Upon completing the course and meeting the core learning objectives, students receive a certification valid for two years, and instructions to access a digital copy of the Child and Babysitting Safety (CABS) Student book. Students attend this class independently. Parents are encouraged to review the take-home information and discuss it with their child. Home Alone Ages 8 & olderYouth EnrichmentJust mention the words "Home Alone," and children think of the excitement depicted in the movies of the same name. The reality is being home alone can evoke fear and anxiety in many children. Whether left alone for an hour after school or several hours a day during the summer, children should feel comfortable being alone. This workshop for children will address several topics relating to being "Home Alone" including personal safety tips, tricky people, basic first aid, fire safety, handling the unexpected, internet safety, gun safety, dealing with loneliness and boredom, storm safety, dealing with siblings as well as trust and honesty. Students attend this class independently. Parents are encouraged to review the take-home information and discuss it with their child. Little Stompers Beginner Clogging Class Ages 3-8RecreationClogging is a traditional American dance form, with similarities to tap and Irish dancing. This is a beginner dance class for ages 3-8 taught by a National Certified Clogging Instructor! Along with many fun clogging steps & routines, your dancer will work on basic rhythm, flexibility, balance and how to be a great dance student. Students can wear comfortable clothes & shoes that slide easily. Optional glue-on clogging taps can be purchased from the instructor for $20.
